Happy New Year!

Our new little doe "Sunshine" isn't she just the cutest.

What can I say? I never thought I'd be so happy to have a sunny day (yep, even in the middle of summer) but oh, I am soooo grateful. Just to be able to go outside without getting drenched. What did we do then? Well the washing machine was put into overdrive, lawns were mowed, hedges trimmed, gardens weeded and goatling training started.

Sliver Perch

Here is a picture of a silver perch that was caught by hand in the spillway of our dam. Some years ago we stocked the large dam with silver perch and yellow belly and with the water running for more than a 72 hour period the fish are sporning. So we have been feasting on these beautiful pan sized fish.
