Staying put ......

This morning we received a call from our neighbour, they are out of milk and were wondering if we could spare any. They are going no where as you can see from the below picture, trees have fallen across the road and in the creek and where my neighbour is standing the actual road is being washed away, at present there is a washout over half a meter deep.
Darren crossed over up stream where it was safer and met us on the other side. So they will be right for a while. Not bad considering we have now been flooded in since Tuesday. Below is a picture of the same creek crossing - down stream.
I remember this time last year we were flooded in for six weeks and in that time I ran out of matches !!! (yep I've stocked up) DD is feeling the pinch as we are running low on tomato sauce. Not to worry I have plenty I can substitute with. Funny how things work out, "Joyfulhomemaker" just did a posting on her pantry provisions about making tomato sauce and used the same tomato press that we have been eyeing off on ebay and is on our list of must haves.
Our days have pretty much been moving from the house to the garlic shed and back as we busily prepare the garlic for sale. This job is time consuming and tedious but we are close to seeing returns which will make it all worthwhile. At least it is a dry task ..........
